Michael Riemer is a successful serial entrepreneur based in the Washington, DC area with more than 23 years of executive management, product management/marketing and business development experiences with mobile technologies and enterprise well as information security and vertical market software solutions.
 
Michael is currently the CEO of ZoomSafer Inc., the leading provider of innovative software solutions to prevent distracted driving. Founded in 2009, ZoomSafer offers solutions that prevent distracted driving for consumers, corporations, and government organizations.
Michael also has recently been involved in several ventures focusing on enterprise mobile device security, mobile music/entertainment, and open-source telco back-office solutions.
 
Michael has been involved in mobile computing since 1990 including licensing handwriting recognition software to Apple for the Newton (ParaGraph International) while also spending 7 years (’93 to ’00) leading products, services, handset and application management at Nextel. During this time, Michael was a key force in enabling successful “first-to-market” mobile/wireless technologies, solutions and partnerships including: online and offline “cursive” handwriting recognition; next generation wireless packet data network including the first mobile IP implementation, Push to Talk (PTT), WAP Browser, Mobile Social Networking (Nextel Business Networks), Mobile MSN (including $600M investment from Microsoft), and policy-based mobile device security (Trust Digital).
