BTG Selects Computer
Strategies’ UnaTime Product
for Web-Based Time Collection

June 1, 1999 - Computer Strategies, Inc. today announced that BTG, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTGI) has licensed Computer Strategies' Web-based electronic timesheet software, UnaTime, for integration into BTG's new enterprise-wide financial system. UnaTime will speed the collection of hours worked by BTG employees and relay the information to the financial system for accounting, payroll, and invoicing.

BTG's Fred Schroeder is managing the implementation of the new system, which is designed to streamline and upgrade the company's business operations. He said UnaTime has several features that make it particularly useful to a company with employees throughout the world: "Regardless of location, our employees and consultants will be able to enter their time daily on the Web-based timesheet. For those without access to the Internet, UnaTime's Interactive Voice Response system allows them to enter their time through a touch-tone telephone. In addition, UnaTime has an attractive user interface and its Web-based architecture eliminates costly client/server architectures."

Schroeder said BTG expects other major benefits from the UnaTime implementation, including error avoidance (OR REDUCTION?), compliance with guidelines set out by the Defense Contractors Audit Agency (DCAA), and improved decision support through rapid access to time charged to various projects.

Computer Strategies' President Frances B. Craig said UnaTime cuts down on timesheet errors by pushing data validation as close to the source as possible and by limiting the chances of error. For example, in UnaTime, people see only their assigned project numbers, which limits the possibility of entering an incorrect number. She said another major benefit of UnaTime is the ability to access time charges as frequently as the charges are made. "This means project managers have real-time oversight into the progress on their projects. Additionally, the open architecture and open database allow BTG to assess integration issues with a sense of confidence. UnaTime's compliance with DCAA guidelines is very important to government contractors such as BTG since electronic submission and approval of invoices means faster payment."
