ITS Services Improves Efficiency and Quality with Unanet!
Unanet Technologies, a PSA (Professional Services Automation) software company, announced today that ITS Services has improved efficiency and increased quality with Unanet. ITS Services provides information technology solutions and managed network services.
Seeking to streamline a paper timesheet process, ITS chose the Unanet PSA software suite for its easy to use user interface, the desired reduction in time, effort and cost, and real time web-based status reporting. "Unanet saves us time across the enterprise from the user entering time data to the payroll people processing payroll and the billing people invoicing our clients," asserts Sandra Volchansky, Controller at ITS Services. Errors are prevented at entry time instead of corrected when creating payroll records or invoices. For example, Unanet allows project charges only when the project is still valid, the user is authorized and, if desired, the user has sufficient budget. Thus, quality is built in at the beginning of the process instead of correcting errors at the end of the process. "Now that we have automated the timesheet process, we can move ahead with implementing the expense reporting. Unanet has an expense reporting module that is integrated with the timesheet software," says Volchansky.
Tom Weston, CFO, at ITS Services, stressed that the ITS staff moved from chasing paper to focusing on the significance of the information. "Unanet helps us to comply with the DCAA guidelines including daily time entry," says Weston. Daily time entry in Unanet helps ITS Services better predict the business in real time instead of waiting until the time period is closed and posted to the accounting system, sometimes weeks to a month. "Unanet provides us with the business intelligence we need on past, current and future projects," says Weston.
"We are delighted to have ITS Services join the Unanet community. ITS Services typifies the professional services customer that needs to be more efficient with time collection, expense reporting and forecasting. The higher level benefit is fusing together the work of an organization, dispersed across many sites, with the same information on all projects," says Frances Craig, President and CEO of Unanet Technologies.
