Earth Tech Improves Time Collection with the Unanet PSA Software !

Long Beach, CA, -- Earth Tech, a global provider of consulting, engineering, and construction services, announced today that the Unanet PSA (Professional Services Automation) software has improved the Earth Tech time collection process. Unanet Technologies, the developer of the Unanet Web-based PSA software, supports government contractors such as Earth Tech.

Recognizing the need to automate time collection for Earth Tech’s geographically dispersed staff, Earth Tech management established automated time collection as a strategic objective in 2004. The major requirements to meet the time collection objective included compliance with DCAA (Defense Contractor Audit Agency) guidelines, enforcement of union rules, and integration with existing project accounting and payroll applications. Earth Tech selected Unanet which met these major requirements.

With Earth Tech’s project management methodology, Earth Tech engaged a team of people from all organizations in the company. Payroll, human resources, database experts, time collection administrators, and others participated on the team. After configuration, testing and initial pilots, “WebTime”, the Earth Tech name for Unanet, rolled out in six weeks across the United States to approximately 3500 users. Initial benefits include: redeployment of 300 hours per week of administrators managing paper timesheets, implementation of best practices and standardization across the enterprise, policy controls, reduced fax, shipping and storage costs for timesheets, real-time visibility into labor utilization, easy labor reporting documents for customers, efficiency in responding to auditors and reduced errors in data entry.
