Frances Craig's Biography
With her entire career in Information Technology, Frances Craig reengineered the Computer Strategies professional services organization into a product company, Unanet Technologies. She designed the original concept of the web-based time sheet. Since 1998, Ms. Craig has established Unanet as the leading vendor of web-based Professional Services Automation software. She has lead the company’s strategy and positioning, recruited the Unanet management team, board members and advisors, won key customers, and developed alliances with vendors, ASP’s and resellers.
Ms. Craig founded Computer Strategies to set a higher standard for meeting and exceeding customer needs and to create a culture of high energy, bright, responsive, caring and dedicated team members. With experience in leading IT organizations for Carnegie-Mellon University, GTE Telenet and DHL Courier, she understands the challenges of Unanet customers and building an organization. Responsible for leading the development of the first worldwide tracing and tracking system used by DHL Courier, Ms. Craig has designed and developed state-of-the-art distributed applications including order management, billing and financial applications.
With her extensive experience in software development, systems development and management consulting, she has transformed Computer Strategies since 1988 to continually evolve to meet market needs. Ms. Craig is active in the professional community having served on President Bill Clinton's Advisory Committee on Expanding Training Opportunities, the Women in Technology Board, the Northern Virginia Technology Council's Executive Forum, the Society for Information Management and other organizations. Ms. Craig is a 1999 graduate of Mindshare.
