Unanet Featured in Washington
Technology Article on Project Management
Washington Technology, the leading publication for government
contractors, featured the topic of project management in
its June 30, 2008 issue in an article titled 'Ready to
dig in: Program management'.
Fran Craig, Unanet Founder and CEO was interviewed for
the article and commented on the importance of detailed
real-time information on problems, delays, overruns or
other issues being available for project managers in running
projects on tight margins. Too often, reports received
from finance are weeks late and don't provide the timely
information necessary to take corrective action.
Craig also identified the importance of planning and tracking
at an appropriate level of detail so that problem areas
can be isolated and analysed, and OMB-mandated techniques
such as Earned Value Management can be applied.
