Unanet Announces Availability of New Software
Release
for Project Services Organizations
Enhancements include Expense Planning, Real-time
Reporting Upgrades, and New Resource Management Features.
Unanet Technologies, a developer of services
automation software that helps organizations manage people and
projects for improved profitability, has released Version 9.1
of its market leading project portfolio management and tracking
system.
Unanet’s solution for project-based organizations
is available both On Demand (Software as a Service) and
Enterprise (installed on customer premise).
The latest release offers significant enhancements designed
to help project managers get real-time insight into anticipated
cost and status of their projects. New capabilities support
project expense forecasting, resource planning and management,
and enhancements for reporting on project and person performance.
To support detailed planning of time-phased project budgets,
expenses and Other Direct Costs can now be planned by expense
type in a grid just like a spreadsheet, with summarization
by project and task. User expense reporting has been further
improved with enhancements to ‘wizards’ which
automate accurate expense capture in compliance with Per
Diem rules, and methods to ensure flexible and correct
allocation of expenses across multiple billable and non-billable
projects on the same expense report.
Unanet is recognized for its strengths in real-time reporting
and these capabilities have been further enhanced. Managers
can now see profitability and performance by labor category
and person. Variances between plans, budgets and actual
effort and expense can be analyzed on a periodic basis
at whatever level of detail or summary is required.
Resource management capabilities were also improved in
this release including planning people in spreadsheet format
in days, weeks, months or quarters. Managers can see the
detail underlying resource utilization, overloads and commitments
in a single report. Managers can also see the liability
associated with accrued leave.
