Unanet Vice President of Professional
Services, Steve Bittner, Elected to
Board of Project Management Institute, Washington DC Chapter
Bittner will serve as Vice President of Technology for organization.
Steve Bittner, Vice President, Professional Services
for Unanet has been elected to the board of the Project
Management Institute, DC Chapter (PMIWDC) in the role of
VP of Technology. In this role, Steve will be responsible
for the technology infrastructure supporting the DC Chapter.
The Project Management Institute (pmi.org) is the leading
advocate for the project management profession globally.
Founded in 1969, PMI has more than 400,000 members and
credential holders in 174 countries. PMI’s Project
Management Professional (PMP®) credential is recognized
as the only globally transferable credential in project
management.
The Washington DC Chapter of the Project Management Institute
(PMIWDC) was formed to serve the networking and education
needs of Washington DC metropolitan area residents, which
includes Northern Virginia and Maryland. The Chapter currently
has more than 8,000 members.
PMIWDC was recognized by PMI in October 2008 for many
of its programs and initiatives in the area of corporate,
community, government and educational outreach programs.
These programs were enhanced to include both non-academic
and academic scholarships, expanded collaboration and alliances
with a number of organizations.
