Project Types

Privilege Needed: Administrator

A timesheet user must always apply time against a project.  Project Type is defined as what type of work is being performed.   For example, all holidays in the system must be defined as Administrative Projects.   You may want all Vacation and Sick Leave to also be declared as Administrative also.  Other work you perform, may be Billable or No Charge, which are not administrative tasks.

When a Project Manager enters and updates information about a project, this is one of the attributes of the project.  You can customize your own definitions here.

NOTE: Billable field will affect the result of some of the reports such as Billing Report, Financial Reports. IF the Billable is set to No, the Bill Amount or Actual Labor field on these reports would show $0.00 even though there are some hours charged to the Task/Project.

To edit a Project Type, click on the edit icon ().  To delete a Project Type, click on the delete icon (delete.gif (126 bytes)).  This list is displayed by selecting List under the Project Types menu.
