Holidays

Privilege Needed: Administrator

Location: Administrator - Holidays - Add.

This menu option is only used in UnaTime.

Within UnaTime, the defined dates and descriptions for Holidays that are recognized by your company are maintained here.  The dates and descriptions that are entered here, are used to pre-populate the timesheet when it is first created. For example, when a user opens a timesheet for the 1st of January, there would already be 8 hours of holiday time displayed on their timesheet  and the comments for that cell would be the description of the holiday.  This is just a default entry and the user can change it if they choose.

Below is an example of Adding or Editing a holiday, followed by the full listing of holidays.

Holidays can be entered down to the task level, but is not mandatory.   You can assign a holiday at the Project level and leave the Task blank if this is your practice.

Save Person To save a Holiday.
Reset Person To clear the data from the current form.

Important!!  The one requirement of the Holiday section is that each holiday must belong to a project, and that project must be defined as an Administrative project type.   For this example, we created a project called CSI HOURSOFF that belongs to the CSI Organization.  This is the project that users apply their holiday leave against.

Note: Holidays will only show up on a user's timesheets if the Holiday information is entered prior to the user creating the timesheet.  That is -- if user have already begun to enter time for the first week of January -- and then the administrator add a holiday for Jan 1st -- this holiday will not automatically appear on any users that have already begun entering time for that time period (or have created that time periods timesheet).
