Person Rates

Privilege Needed: Administrator

The Administrator has the ability to add rate information for each user.  This rate information is all time bound by a begin date and an end date.  The initial rate information for a new person is entered on the Person Add screen and always has an end date of EOT.  This time bound information includes Classification, Dilution Period, Bill Rate and Cost Rate.

Since there should never be a gap in the date range of the rates, the only operation allowed is to add a new rate.  When you add a new rate, you provide an effective date for the new rate and the system automatically sets the new rate's end date to EOT.  Any rate that previously existed for that person and date range is automatically adjusted to have an end date one day before the new rate begins.  If there were rates existing that fell completely inside the new rate's date range, they are replaced by the new rate.
