This feature allows an Administrator to edit Timesheets that have been EXTRACTED or LOCKED. There are currently two mechanisms available within Unanet to make changes to historical timesheet entries (those that have already been extracted).
This help page describes an adjustment mechanism that allows for making mass changes to a specific user's cost rate information only (effectively a retroactive pay change), for a specified date range, potentially spanning several time periods and many projects.
A second mechanism available, allows for adding or removing time for an existing project, adding new projects, changing bill and/or cost rate information, etc. Using this mechanism, you can change data for a specific user, for a specific time period, and for a specific project. See Time Adjustments for further information about that functionality.
Clicking on the person's retroactive cost change (
)
icon is the first step in navigating towards the Retroactive Cost Rate
Adjustment screen.

To edit that person's information.
To delete that person's information.
To display a list of that person's timesheets.
To view that person's expense reports.
To enter a Retroactive Cost Rate change.
Once you have clicked on the (
) icon, the Retroactive Cost Rate Adjustment screen will be
displayed.
The upper portion of the screen provides the entry form for the cost rate change. The lower portion of the screen is informational only. It provides a brief history of the user's actual 'cost rate' information. Again, this informational section in no way reflects any adjustment activity, but rather the user's cost rate profile information.

Saves the current data on the form.
Resets the value to it's default view.
Navigates back to the previous screen.
Begin Date - This field defines the beginning date for the cost rate adjustment. Note: If Labor Cost Dilution is enabled for this Unanet installation, then the date entered into this field must abide by the date restriction rules that accompany the dilution functionality (e.g. this date must fall on a dilution period boundary). Click Unanet Dilution to learn more about our implementation of dilution.
End Date - This field defines the ending date for the cost rate adjustment. Note: If Labor Cost Dilution is enabled for this Unanet installation, then the date entered into this field must abide by the date restrictions rules that accompany the dilution functionality (e.g. this date must fall on a dilution period boundary). Click Unanet Dilution to learn more about our implementation of dilution.
Cost Rate - This field defines the new cost rate which is to be used for the period specified. This rate will override any previously entered rates for that same period.
Once the new cost rate information and date range have been entered, adjustment records will be created to reflect the change.
Be aware: Depending on the date range entered and the number of timesheet entries this person has, there is the potential to create large numbers of adjustment records, as each original entry will be reversed out and a new entry will be added reflecting the new cost rate.
Note: Changing a cost rate value via this screen will in no way change the user's permanent cost rate information. To maintain a user's permanent cost rate information, see Person Rates.
