Tasks are available in Unanet to allow you to further break down and manage your project information. Tasks can be optional, or you can require users to always select a task along with a project when recording time and or expense data. Each task has it's own list of attributes that can be established and tracked.

The example below shows a sample task screen once task data has been entered. See the description below for the meaning of the various icons and fields.

| Edit the selected task. You can either click the radio button next to task you wish to operate on, or simply click the icon on that task's row. This will allow you to edit all fields for one specific task. | |
| Delete the selected task. You can not delete task information if it has already been used on an expense report or timesheet. | |

Selecting the Edit pencil (
)
will present you with an edit screen allowing for the manipulation of all fields
for a particular task. This screen will resemble the following:

Once a task has been initially setup, a project manager can maintain additional details pertaining to the task. The list below details the options available under this drop down list. (The example above illustrates the --More Functions-- drop down list).

| Delete all Tasks | Delete all tasks on this project (and any associated assignments or overrides). |
| Edit All Tasks | Allows the project manager to edit all attributes for all tasks on this project. See example below. |
* Functions noted with an asterisk are not available on the project screen if your project is set NOT to allow assignments at the task level. These functions will be available via the Project level -- More Functions -- menus.

This page allows the project manager to maintain the task-level assignments for the current project. It is only available on project that have the Task-Level Assignment indicator set to "Yes". Additionally, if you are using task-level assignments, you cannot manage assignments at the project level.
You can pick multiple people and multiple tasks and assign them all at the same time using the page. You can even filter the list of Available People by Organization or a best match on last name.
Notice the options regarding rates. This option is evaluated when the save button is clicked, not when you move people and tasks to the Assignments box.

Gives Project Managers the capability to view and change the assignment details set for each individual assigned in this project for any task.
There are several features worth noting on this page:

Gives a Project Manager the ability to edit the Task/Person's assignment information.
There are several features worth noting on this page:

| Goes back main editing page for this project. |
If you select the
icon for any particular task, you will be presented with a screen similar to
the example below. This provides a quick snapshot of Task details for a
particular task.
This option is available from the task level More Functions drop down list. By selecting this menu item, you can view and edit all fields for the entire list of tasks on this project. The screen will resemble the image below:

This feature allows you to setup a new project, that contains the same list of tasks as another project you have already created. This may be particularly useful if you have a standard project / task template that you use for many projects.
Select the Project that you want. Click on the
. All
the tasks from that project will be appended to your current project.
