Privilege Needed: PDA User
The PDA Settings screen allows the user to review their configuration and make adjustments to specific personal data or configuration options.
This page addresses the PDA Setting options, you may also be interested in learning more about UnaPDA.
The options available (Time Options and/or Expense Options) on this screen depend on the licensed products installed for your Unanet installation.
| Saves current data on the form. | |
| Clears all values on the form. |
User Name - The Unanet user name for the individual's setting.
HotSync For - This field is used to specify whether Time Data, Expense Data or both are to be included in the HotSync operations.
Conflict Resolution - When a conflict is encountered during a HotSync operation, this field determines which platform should win. The values available include:
Server Overrides PDA
PDA Overrides Server
Time Periods Before - This field partially determines the number of timesheets that will be available on the PDA device. To keep data volumes low, you may consider keeping this value low. The current timesheet (time period) will always be included, this determines the number to include prior to the current time period. This field will only be available if you have a UnaTime license.
Time Periods After - This field partially determines the number of timesheets that will be available on the PDA device. To keep data volumes low, you may consider keeping this value low. The current timesheet (time period) will always be included, this determines the number to include after the current time period. This field will only be available if you have a UnaTime license.
Use Foreign Currency - If this option is checked, several additional fields are available on the PDA device. If you do not incur expenses in international currencies, you may desire to uncheck this option -- resulting in less data being transmitted during a sync -- and less fields to navigate while entering expense reports. This field will only be available if you have a Una$ense license.
Download Unanet for PDA Software - The link in this section is used to download the unapda.exe file that contains the conduit and PDA applications. Before this link is active, the Unanet System Administrator must configure the following property: unanet.pda.download_link.
If this link has not yet been configured by the Administrator, the link will not appear and your screen will resemble the following:

If the link is configured, and you click on the "UnaPDA" link, you will be prompted to save the setup file to your local machine. The dialog box you are presented with may resemble the following.
