Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel
Rebecca Douglas is Unanet's CFO and General Counsel. Rebecca became a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia in 2010. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2017 and passed the California bar later that year. She began her career focused primarily on accounting for technology companies and government contracting. Rebecca was introduced to Unanet’s software in 2013 and quickly became enamored with its simplicity and with the extraordinary value it added to project based businesses. In 2014, Rebecca joined the Unanet team and quickly helped solidify policies and procedures. When Unanet’s Financial software was released in 2015, Rebecca and her team were some of the first to fully embrace the incredible functionality utilizing Unanet to optimize accounting processes like ASC606 revenue recognition, fixed assets, credit card integration, and payroll integration. As Rebecca’s efficiencies utilizing the software continued to grow, she spoke to several public audiences and led webinars on topics of accounting proficiency and best practices. In 2016, Rebecca was selected as one of the Top 40 Leaders in Loudoun County under 40 years old. In 2017, Rebecca was named a Finalist for WIT’s Annual Leadership Award.
Prior to Unanet, Rebecca was the Controller at MicroPact, a software company based in Herndon, VA and the Accounting Manager at n-ask, a Federal geolocation and engineering contractor in Fairfax, VA. Rebecca has handled multiple accounting system integrations and was key in securing an approved accounting system. She has successfully managed audits across industry and DCAA levels. Rebecca has taken a lead role in many contract negotiations with partners, suppliers, municipalities and customers. Her previous experiences include both shared services and 'Big Four'.
